Skydiving Weight Charts and Conditions

General Skydiving Conditions

Weight restrictions apply to skydiving for safety reasons. Your weight also has to be proportionate to your height.

There are a few other requirements too:

  • The minimum age for parachuting is 16. Anyone under 18 must have the written consent of a parent or guardian (BPA Form 106).
  • The maximum age for the Solo Static Line course is 55.
  • There are safety limits for weight and height. The quick-check charts below make things clearer
  • Parachutists need a reasonable standard of physical fitness. We have minimum fitness requirements. All participants must be physically fit, fully self-mobile with a full range of mobility and able to lift their knees to their chest unaided. Please contact the club if you are unsure, as participants will be assessed on arrival and will not be able to take the course if the minimum fitness requirements are not met.

Tandem Skydiving

 You will need to give us a signed BPA Medical Form prior to jumping i.e. Form 115a if you satisfy the requirements for self-declaration, or Form 115b if you need doctor’s approval.
